The Patient Care Technician (PCT) provides care to patients with end-stage renal disease, supporting clinical staff throughout the dialysis treatment process to deliver prescribed treatments. Our PCTs are an integral part of the interdisciplinary team in ensuring safe care and the highest quality outcomes for every patient. Schedule p
Schedule: Full-time, four 10-hour shifts starting at 5am;
Sundays off; no overnight shifts Compensation p
Compensation: Pay range from $17-$24 per hour, depending on healthcare experience; experience not required Benefits ul li

/ul Responsibilities pWhat You Can Expect: ul li
Actively participate in infection control, risk management and patient education activities
liGuide new patients through 120-day education plan
liObtain and record patient vital signs and machine readings during treatment
liRole under RN supervision
liSet up and break down dialysis blood system for treatment
liInsert and remove patient access needles
liMonitor patients during dialysis, document changes and inform charge nurse of any concerns
liCalculate patient’s weight loss to reach dry weight
liDetermine patient care priorities and organize work load accordingly
liMaintain professional working relationship, observing patient privacy and rights
liMaintain and track inventory
liPerform laboratory work

Excellent communication skills
liDesire to collaborate with care teams
liAbility to problem solve
/ul Education/Training ul liHigh school diploma or GED required
liPrevious healthcare experience preferred, but not required
liCNA, EMT, medical assistant, CNT and/or phlebotomy skills desired
liDCI provides a 3-month comprehensive education program, including classroom group sessions and one-on-one skills training
