Job SummaryUnder the oversight of the Manager and/or Director of Imaging Services, the Lead Ultrasound Technologist provides patient care services using ultrasound equipment and is responsible for performing general ultrasound exams, vascular ultrasound exams, and ultrasound-guided procedures in compliance with regulatory requirements. The Lead Ultrasound Technologist provides assistance to other technologists and is the primary point of contact for resolving issues and answering questions.
The Lead Ultrasound Technologist assists in daily operational activities and workflow and is the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the modality.
- Patient care in hospital setting
- Ability to perform exams to the standards outlined by the hospital’s protocols
- Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing
- Ability to work flexible schedules and take calls as needed
- Strong organizational skills
- Basic computer skills
RDMS in (AB) or (OB/GYN) via ARDMS and RVT in (VT) via ARDMS or RVS via CCI. Current BLS provider card
EducationHigh School graduate or GED equivalent.
Experience- Experienced in all general ultrasound exams, all vascular ultrasound exams, and all ultrasound-guided procedures.
- Minimum five (5) years recent experience as an Ultrasound Technologist, hospital experience preferred.
