Description
We are seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist to join our team. As an Ultrasound Technologist, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic ultrasound procedures to assist in the diagnosis of medical conditions. You will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care.
Requirements- Graduation from a School of Radiologic Science or Sonography with current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and Ultrasound Certification or current American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) certification.
- Must maintain certification with ARRT or ARDMS by obtaining the necessary continuing education units to maintain certification.
- Ability and willingness to demonstrate and maintain competency as required for job title and the unit/area(s) of assignment.
- Excellent communication skills to include oral and written comprehension/expression.
- Ability and willingness to work with patients’ growth and development needs particularly related to the age of patients in the unit/area(s) of assignment.
- Ability to manage a challenging work environment related to changing patient needs, including work with patients with acute, chronic, and complex disease processes, and those who are dying.
- Ability and willingness to exhibit behaviors consistent with standards for performance improvement and organizational values (e.g., efficiency & financial responsibility, safety, partnership & service, teamwork, compassion, integrity, and trust & respect).
- Ability and willingness to exhibit behaviors consistent with principles for service excellence.
- Demonstrate the knowledge and ability to perform and assist the Radiologist with various diagnostic interventional, invasive or surgery procedure as well as various film library functions.
- Be able to utilize information provided in each departmental manual.
- Possess the knowledge of exam preparations required for the correct administration of oral and IV contrast prior to the Ultrasound/X-ray procedure.
- Demonstrate the knowledge of various software programs within the department.
- Excellent communication skills
- Maintain a current BLS CPR certification
