Paramedic - Temporary Part-time

The City of Roanoke is seeking Paramedics for part-time position with the Roanoke Fire & EMS. This performs technical work providing human health emergency medical services, duties are performed under emergency conditions and frequently involve considerable personal hazard. Assists in maintaining equipment inventory on emergency vehicles. Maintains vehicles in a clean and working order. High school diploma or general education degree (GED);
Associate degree with courses in emergency health sciences or related field; related experience and/or training in emergency medical service; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Possession of a valid appropriate driver's license and EVOC issued by the Commonwealth of Virginia. MUST BE 18 YEARS OLD and submit to a drug screening test. Must possess and maintain EMT-P, AHA, ACLS, PHTLS, PALS and any other required certifications appropriate to duty assignment within the Fire/EMS department.

Must be able to work 8 am to 8 pm, average 3-4 days a month. Bilingual, Spanish/English speakers encouraged to apply. This is a part time position with no city benefits.
