Drug Free Communities Project Coordinator

Lincoln Trail District Health Department is looking for a passionate and motivated Drug-Free Communities Project Coordinator to join the team!

Primary duties include, but are not limited to
  • Responsible for providing coordination of the day-to-day operations of the Drug Free Communities grant and assist with activities identified by the Marion County Heartland Coalition.
  • Prioritize the goals set forth by the Drug Free Communities Program:
    • Establish and strengthen collaboration among community stakeholders and organizations to address youth substance use.
    • Reduce substance use among youth, and over time, reduce substance use among adults by addressing the factors in a community that increase the risk of substance use and promoting the factors that minimize the risk of substance use.
  • Establish and maintain rapport with Marion County Heartland Coalition members and Executive Committee.
  • Coordinate implementation of evidence-based strategies to effectively fulfill Coalition objectives.
  • Organize and engage in community activities to inform and educate the public about youth substance use and priorities for prevention.
  • Collect, utilize, and disseminate data relevant to the Coalition’s work and overall success.
  • Serve as an information resource for the community and Coalition members.
Education and Experience:

Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor’s degree. Must have one year of health related experience.
