** Hourly Pay Range:**$33.16 - $49.74 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

* ** Per Diem Level I - Must be able to work 48 hours every 6 weeks. 24 of those hours must be on the weekend.**

* Hours:

** Shift will vary Monday-Friday from 7am-3pm, 7am-7pm, Saturday-Sunday from 7am - 3pm with holiday and weekend requirements.

* What you will do:

*** Assists Physicians, as requested with Respiratory Therapy procedures
* Provide respiratory therapy to neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients as ordered by physicians according hospital policy and procedures
* Assess patients to determine most suitable method of administering treatment
* Document treatment, equipment maintenance and quality control activities and transcribe verbal or phone order by physicians
* Communicate to patient and family the treatment being performed in a clear manner
* Monitor patient physiological response to therapy with special attention to the pediatric and neonatal patients
* Provide patient and staff education

* What you will need:

* ** Education**:
Graduation from a nationally accredited Respiratory Therapy program, as determined by the Committee on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC)
* ** License/

Certifications:

** Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or proof of registry eligible status
* State of Illinois Respiratory Care Practitioner licensure
** within six months of employment
*** Current CPR certification issued by the American Heart Association
* ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
** within 24 months of employment
*** NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
** within 24 months of employment
*** PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
** within 24 months of employment
