Our team at Frederick Health Hospital is seeking a full-time Physical Therapy Aide (Rehabilitation Aide) to support our hospital acute therapy team. This is an excellent opportunity for students and graduates pursuing careers in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech-Language Pathology, Athletic Training, Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Nursing, Physician Assistant studies, Sports Medicine, or other healthcare fields.

You’ll work directly with licensed therapists, assist patients throughout their rehabilitation journey, and gain valuable clinical experience in a fast-paced hospital setting.

What You’ll Do

As a Physical Therapy Aide, you’ll support therapists while helping create an exceptional experience for every patient.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assist licensed physical, occupational, and speech therapists during patient treatment sessions
  • Help patients perform therapeutic exercises and activities as directed
  • Prepare treatment areas before and after appointments
  • Maintain, clean, and organize rehabilitation equipment and rehab area
  • Stock supplies and treatment areas
  • Assist with patient flow
  • Monitor and organize therapy equipment
  • Support therapists with daily clinical operations
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to every patient and visitor
Required
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • CPR certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross, or ability to obtain
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced hospital acute setting
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to fulfill the weekend and holiday requirements
Preferred
  • Previous rehabilitation, therapy clinic, or healthcare experience
  • Students pursuing careers in:
