Operates ultrasound scanning equipment to produce records of designated portions of the human anatomy of infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients. Responsible for daily operations of the vascular laboratory with duties including but not limited to performing high quality diagnostic non-invasive vascular examinations involving disorders affecting the vascular systems, providing accurate medical descriptions and preliminary interpretations for physician review and operation and maintenance of ultrasound equipment.
REQUIREDRadiology
- 1) Certification in of ONE of the following:
- a) Certified by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS),
OR - b) American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, Sonography (ARRT) (S),
- c) All sonographers must obtain certification within twelve months of eligibility or cross training.
- a) Certified by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS),
- 2) Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days of hire.
- 3) 2 or more years of experience as a Vascular Technologist
- 1) Certification in of ONE of the following:
- a) ARDMS certification in vascular technology RVT,
OR - b) ARRT certification in vascular technology RT (VS),
OR - c) Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) administered by Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI).
- a) ARDMS certification in vascular technology RVT,
- 2) Certified in Cardio-pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) within 90 days of hire.
- 3) 2 or more years of experience as a Vascular Technologist
