$5,000 sign on bonus available!The following describes the job responsibilities, qualifications, and expectations for the Sleep Lab team member working night shifts, aligned with Banner Health standards.
POSITION SUMMARYThis position independently performs prescribed diagnostic sleep monitoring studies, which may include home sleep tests, to patients. This position analyzes the results to aid clinicians with diagnosis, treatment, monitoring and care of patients. This position acts as a resource to the department.
CORE FUNCTIONS- High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge.
- Requires Registry by the Board of Polysomnographic Technologists or proof of NBRC as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT). Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- The position generally requires 3 years of experience in sleep disorders testing, proficiency with sleep testing equipment and understanding of the sleep/wake cycle and related EEG theory; strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and effective communication skills.
- Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
