ASAP About the Position Job Title Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) – Travel Contract Location Danville, Virginia Schedule / Job Type Contract | 13 Weeks | Full-Time | Onsite | Day Shift | Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM | 40 Guaranteed Hours per Week | No Weekends | No Call Requirements
Key Responsibilities Provide physical therapy assistant services in an outpatient rehabilitation setting serving an adult patient population Deliver therapeutic exercise and manual correction techniques under the direction of a supervising physical therapist Treat a variety of conditions including back pain, neck pain, TMJ dysfunction, vestibular disorders, balance and gait deficits, pelvic floor dysfunction, lymphedema, and stroke rehabilitation Maintain accurate and timely documentation using the facility's electronic health record system Maintain a 1:1 patient care ratio and uphold quality standards throughout each treatment session Demonstrate willingness to learn and apply new treatment techniques as introduced by the clinical team
Required Qualifications Active Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in Virginia or from a compact-eligible state Minimum 1 year of experience as a licensed PTA Proficiency in therapeutic exercise techniques Ability to work in a fast-paced outpatient rehabilitation environment
