In this role, the successful candidate provides individualized and group-based mind-body services within the Griffin Healthspan & Vitality Center at NYU Langone Health. This position delivers yoga, meditation, breathwork, and Reiki (or other approved energy-based modalities) to support stress reduction, symptom management, and overall well-being for women across the lifespan.

Aligned with integrative programs at leading academic centers, the Practitioner works as part of a multidisciplinary team that includes physicians, NPs/APPs, acupuncturists, massage therapists, mental health professionals, and health coaches. • Design and lead group classes (e.g., gentle, restorative, prenatal/postnatal, therapeutic yoga) to support physical function, stress resilience, and emotional well-being.
  • Deliver Reiki sessions (if Reiki certified and/or other approved energy-based practices) as supportive services to promote relaxation, comfort, and stress relief, clearly communicating their adjunctive role.
  • Integrate breathwork, meditation, and other mindfulness techniques into sessions as clinically appropriate.
  • Monitor patients during sessions for tolerance and safety; adapt practices based on medical status and clinician guidance.
Program Design & Clinical Operations:
  • Collaborate with the clinical team and Program Manager to develop and refine mind-body clinical pathways and group visit offerings (e.g., stress management series, peri/menopause support, survivorship programs).
  • Assist in managing schedules, clinical space, and flow to support productivity and a patient-centered environment.
  • Ensure that all mind-body activities are in compliance with institutional policies, Joint Commission, Department of Health, HIPAA, and other regulatory and safety standards.
Education, Outreach & Development:
  • Create and lead educational workshops for patients, families, staff, and trainees on mind-body approaches, yoga, and energy-based therapies.
  • Participate in promotional and educational activities (e.g., videos, handouts, workshops, podcasts) that raise awareness of integrative mind-body offerings within NYU Langone and the broader community.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Public Relations, as appropriate, to highlight mind-body services as part of the Vitality Center.
  • Support community outreach and partnerships that extend access to mind-body services.
