Position Details:

The Physician Associate Program in the Harris College of Nursing & Health Sciences occasionally has openings for part-time temporary adjunct instructors. Applying for a part-time teaching appointment in the Physician Associate Program would add the applicant to a pool which is available to the departmental search committee for consideration in case the need arises. These include foundational courses in the Physician Associate Program such as Clinical Anatomy, Clinical Physiology and Pathophysiology, and Biomedical Sciences.

Required Qualifications:
  • Master's degree or higher in physician assistant studies, medicine, anatomy, physiology, biology, biochemistry, or a closely related health science field.
  • If a healthcare professional, must have a current license and/or certification.
  • Minimum of two years of prior teaching experience at the undergraduate level or higher.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Strong written and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Ph.D. in the above health science fields.
  • Prior experience teaching at the graduate or health professions level.
  • Clinical background in a field that directly applies anatomical or physiological knowledge.
