Navajo Preference Employment Act
In accordance with Navajo Nation and federal law, TCRHCC has implemented an affirmative action plan pursuant to the Navajo Preference in Employment Act. OverviewPOSITION SUMMARY
The purpose of this position is to serve in the day-to-day operations of the outpatient pharmacy services. This role encompasses providing direct clinical pharmacy services with supervisory/managerial oversight of all function of the outpatient pharmacy. The incumbent is responsible for the outpatient pharmacy program which includes: management and administration of personnel policies and procedures, providing ongoing analysis of the outpatient pharmacy department to develop programs with the highest quality of care, and to direct and manage programs and activities of the outpatient pharmacy in a manner that ensures the mission, vision, and values of TCRHCC.
The incumbent provides technical and administrative supervision to pharmacy team members comprised of clinical and technical employees, Pharmacist, Pharmacy Technicians, and Pharmacy Billers and aides.
Education:
Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from a school recognized by the American Council of Pharmaceutical Education
License/Certification- Must have a current valid licensed to practice Pharmacy in a State, Territory of the United States, or the District of Columbia and maintained throughout employment in good standing
- Must have and maintain a current valid certification of the following throughout employment.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification with American Heart Association (AHA)
- Three (3) years of experience as a pharmacist in a retail/ ambulatory care pharmacy setting
- One (1) year supervisory experience
Skills and Abilities:
A record of satisfactory performance in all prior and current employment as evidenced by positive employment references from previous and current employers. All employment references must address and indicate success in each one of the following areas:
- Positive working relationships with others
- Possession of high ethical standards and no history of complaints
- Reliable and dependable; reports to work as scheduled without excessive absences.
- Ability to perform cost/benefit analyses and evaluate effective use of pharmaceuticals and related issues.
- Excellent customer service skills with no history of complaints
- Completion of and above-satisfactory scores on all job interviews, demonstrating to the satisfaction of the interviewees and TCRHCC that the applicant can perform the essential functions of the job
- Successful completion of and positive results from all background and reference checks, including positive employment references from authorized representatives of past and current employers demonstrating to the satisfaction of TCRHCC a record of satisfactory performance and that the applicant can perform the essential functions of the job
- Successful completion of fingerprint clearance requirements, physical examinations, and other screenings indicating that the applicant is qualified to be employed by TCRHCC and demonstrating to the satisfaction of TCRHCC that the applicant can perform the essential functions of the job
- Submission of all required employment-related documents, applications, resumes, references, and other required information free of false, misleading or incomplete information, as determined by TCRHCC.
