Health & Nutrition Officer; NO

Provide professional technical assistance and support for the design, planning, implementation, monitoring, evaluation, and administration of health and nutrition programme activities in Syria. Support data analysis, progress reporting, knowledge networking, capacity building, and emergency response aligned with Health & Nutrition programme goals and strategies.

• Provide professional technical assistance and support for the design, planning, implementation, monitoring, evaluation, and administration of programme/project activities, including data analysis, progress reporting, knowledge networking, and capacity building, in support of the achievement of the planned objectives of the work plan, aligned with Health & Nutrition programme goals and strategies.
• Ensure accurate information, data analysis, and documentation are timely made available to support situation analysis, sectoral input and reporting.
• Provide technical assistance to the development and implementation of integrated Health & Nutrition strategies and approaches through participation and collaboration with internal and external partners.
• Establish work plan and objectives effectively and deliver planned results timely through technical support and coordination in consultation with all relevant partners.
• Enhance project efficiency and effectiveness through effective implementation follow-up.
• Monitor project implementation progress for adjustment and improvement of program delivery and sustainability, including gender/sex disaggregated data and inputs relevant to the Health & Nutrition programme.
• Ensure transparency for supply and non-supply assistance and disbursement of programme funds for Health & Nutrition.
• Maintain effective partnership and working relationships for advocacy, technical coordination, information sharing and knowledge networking.
• Keep up-to-date programme information available and prepare and share reports with relevant stakeholders as required to support the Health & Nutrition programme by the effective implementation of integrated monitoring system.
• Maintain emergency preparedness, and in emergencies, provide emergency responses with effective coordination in line with the Core Commitments for Children (CCCs) in Humanitarian Action, strengthening partnerships with the Health and Nutrition humanitarian actors within the Inter-Agency Standing Committee (IASC).
• Effectively accomplish other assigned duties and responsibilities.

• Bachelor or equivalent (First Level University Degree) in Public Health and Nutrition, Child Development, Social Development, Community Development, or other relevant disciplines and any other related fields.
• At least 2 years of relevant work experience in planning, programming, implementation monitoring and evaluation of health and nutrition programmes.
• Professional work experience in a programme management function or a technical expert capacity in child survival & health care.
• Field work experience (for NO).
• Background/familiarity with Emergency.
• Demonstrated expertise in Health Programme Management, Nutrition Programming, Data Analysis, Monitoring & Evaluation, Stakeholder Coordination, and Emergency Response.
• Fluency in English and Arabic is required.
• Knowledge of another official UN language (Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish) or intermediate level of Kurdish is an asset.
• Relevant experience at country level, particularly in development, fragile settings and humanitarian contexts.
