Compensation Range The base pay scale for this position is $ - $. In addition, this position will be eligible for additional benefits consistent with the role. The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be determined based on various factors, including but not limited to: scope of role, level of experience, education, accomplishments, internal equity, budget, and subject to Fair Market Value evaluation.

What you will be doing

Advanced Practice Provider
- Interventional Radiology

Monday-Friday (4 days) 7am-6pm Office: 3rd floor, Main Hospital 3E Overview

  • Providing Pre- and Post-procedure assessment and education to patients and their families
  • Conducting history and physical exams
  • Serving as a liaison between referring physician and interventional radiologists.
  • Managing the ambulatory and inpatient procedure schedule
  • Ordering and interpreting labs results and prescribing medications
  • Initiating coordination of care between radiology modalities and inpatient floors
  • Managing and appropriately escalating post procedure issues
  • Inserting, evaluating and maintaining Peripherally Inserted Central Catheters (PICCs)
  • Processing Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP)
  • Ordering and administration of contrast agents and providing assessments for premedication
Minimum Qualifications

Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS) NPs/PAs are committed to personalized, high-quality healthcare and are held to the same legal and ethical standards of care as physicians and surgeons.

  • Current New York State licensure as a Physician Assistant or a Registered Professional Nurse and Nurse Practitioner Board certification from NCCPA, ANCC or AANP
  • Current BLS and ACLS certification
  • Proficiency with electronic medical records and standard computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • EDUCATION
    - Required Degree and Program of Study NP Masters Nursing FNP or AGNP preferred PA Bachelors Physician Assistant Studies Masters Physician Assistant Studies Graduate of CAAHEP accredited Physician Assistant Training Program
  • EXPERIENCE
    - Preferred Minimum Years of Experience Type of Experience 1-2 Years practicing in an outpatient or ambulatory setting
  • Service Requirements:
    Displays a positive attitude toward work assignments, performance feedback, and interactions with co-workers, patients, families, and visitors Willingly adheres to Department and Hospital policies and procedures Willingly adheres to practice standards outlined by Hospital and governing regulatory bodies Maintains computer literacy, including proficiency in Outlook email and E-learning Attend In-Service meetings regularly and punctually
