PATIENT ACCOUNT REPRESENTATIVE / MEDICAL COLLECTOR | Centralized Business Office
The Georgia Business Center, located in Dunwoody, just north of 285, is seeking a dynamic and talented Patient Account Representative/Collector. Patient Account Representatives are responsible for the billing, follow-up, and collection of assigned patient accounts by contacting patients, insurance companies and third-party payers to resolve outstanding owed balances;
The position may work with collection agencies for bad debt recovery. The Georgia Business Center provides billing and collection services for multiple Universal Health Services (UHS) facilities across Georgia and the United States. Visit the UHS website at:
- Provide account and billing information to patients, insurance companies and/or collection agencies
- Control collection efforts of accounts in an organized, professional, and efficient manner
- Analyze accounts to determine correct insurance payment based on contract rate and patient's share.
- This is an on-site/in-office position.

Education: High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
Experience: A minimum of one (1) year experience in a health care collections or related field, or any combination of education, training, or experience in a health care business office environment. Experience with insurance billing, computer and business software programs (Excel) preferred.
Additional Requirements: This position may require flexible hours, to include overtime.
