Essential Job Functions:- Verifies prescription entries compared to labels performed by Pharmacy Technicians into QS1 system
- Performs a quality check ensuring prescribed medication filled match labels that are provided out of the QS1 system.
- When necessary, fills prescriptions; obtains the order; types the prescription; counts the pills associated with apre prescription.
- Ensures proper check in/verification and storage of all medications and merchandise received.
- Detects and/or resolves potentially life threatening problems with medications via telephone conversations with clients, doctors, and other SMA employees.
- Meets with sales representatives; orders supplies and drugs.
- Assist in the writing of pharmacy policies and procedures.
- Available for consultation with clients regarding medication and usage.
- Controls verbally and/or physically abusive and aggressive clients and perform aggression control techniques if necessary.
- Communicates effectively with suicidal,mentally, emotionally, and/or psychologically disturbed clients inperson and over the telephone to diffuse potentially life threatening situations.
- Performs other related work as required.

Minimum Education and/orExperience:
Bachelors' Degreein Pharmacy with two (2) years of Pharmacist experience required. State of Florida Pharmacist License required. Two (2) years of manager experience and 340b experience is preferred.
Knowledge/Skills/and Abilities:- Knowledge of pharmacy procedures and practices.
- Knowledge of medications and their side effects and ability todetect abuse of drugs.
- Ability to work with HIV/Bloodborne pathogens.
- Ability to handle verbally and/or physically aggressive clientsand utilize Mandt to ensure the safety and well-being of the client,other clients, and employees.
- Ability to communicate effectively with suicidal, mentally, emotionally,and/or psychologically disturbed clients in person and over the telephone.
- Extensive knowledge of rules, regulations, safety procedures,state, federal, and local laws, and legislative requirements pertaining to program compliance, including Department of Professional Regulation standards for Pharmacy Operations and Licensure.
- Considerable knowledge of personnel and administrative policies and procedures, as well as knowledge of Board of Pharmacy policies,procedures, and regulations.
- Experience with program budgetary planning.
- Ability to supervise and guide the work of others in making complex client treatment/clinical decisions.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing withother employees, program staff, clients, outside organizations, andothers.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees, medical and clinical professionals, and the general public.
Special Requirements :
Possession of a valid Florida driver's license, acceptable driving record, and proof of personal automobile insurance if required to drive anSMA vehicle and/or use a personal vehicle for SMA business. Complete State of Florida mandatory background screening prior to start of employment. Complete SMA required training during thefirst six (6) months of employment and updated if required.
Physical:Mobility and ability to bend andreach during an 8-12 hour day. Able to lift minimum 10 pounds. Visual and auditory acuity sufficient to evaluate, intervene, treat, and record client health care needs. Fine motor skills for legible and accurate charting, daily correspondence and presentation, either manually or orally. Work enduranceability to work 8-12 hour shifts with a meal break, as possible. Routine 8-12hourshifts. Hours and days off may vary.
