** Position

Description:

*** Assists in the delivery of occupational healthcare and patient management for injuries and other medical testing procedures.
*
* Essential Functions:

*** Prepares the examination room for the patient as well as taking patient vital signs and recording vitals in the medical chart
* With great attention to detail, performs a variety of patient care activities to assist physicians including: vital signs, vision screenings, audiogram, spirometry, EKG, injections, phlebotomy, drug screen collection, and breath alcohol screening and confirmations.
* Follows detailed client protocols including: performing and documenting specified procedures and results.
* Assists the billing department as needed in regards to patient care inquiries.
* Conducts occasional onsite screening, (i.e. drug and alcohol testing, physicals, flu injections, etc.)
* Orders medical supplies if required.
* Performs front office duties as assigned.
* Works to the established standards of the practice and as instructed.
* Carries out any other duties as assigned.
** Additional Responsibilities:
*** Willing to cover Medical Assistant position in different clinics if required.
* Serve as a secondary float at any of the Caduceus clinics to meet the needs of our clients.
* Assists with training of new employees as needed.## Qualifications

* Ability to learn and retain knowledge of medical practice protocols and procedures.
* Ability to learn and retain knowledge of medical equipment and instruments.
* Knowledge of medical terminology.
* Ability to work as a member of a team and to adapt to a changing environment.
* Ability to communicate orally and in writing clearly.

* Job Qualifications:

*** The credentials normally associated with competence in this position include:
* High School Diploma
* Certified Medical Assistant Certification from an accredited teaching establishment preferred. If hired without certification, it must be obtained within 6 months of hire date.
* 12 months to 2 years of related work experience preferred, but not required.
* Must pass training exams to become a Certified Drug Screen Collector and Certified Breath Alcohol Technician. Training and exams administered by Caduceus USA.
* Must pass training exam for Radiology. Training and exams to perform x-rays are administered by Caduceus USA.
* Any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities for the position.
