The Obstetrical Technician at Singing River Health System provides basic nursing care and assists in the Labor and Delivery unit, passing instruments and maintaining sterile fields during procedures. He/She supports the surgical team and prepares the room before surgery or delivery.
Education includes high school graduation;
Surgical Technician program is preferred. Certifications such as Surgical Technologist and BCLS are encouraged, with de-escalation training required by 90 days.
