This is an embedded position within Buckeye Commons. The clinician will establish and maintain a clinical and consultative service presence within Buckeye Commons at Ohio State. Provide brief individual, couples, and group counseling to university students, with a specific focus on students who utilize Buckeye Commons. Provides diagnostic assessment in the form of Diagnostic Evaluations, triage screenings, and urgent problem-solving appointments as well as provide psychotherapeutic services to students regarding problems related to developmental issues, stress, career, academics, interpersonal concerns, and other mental health symptomology.
Provides case management in consultation with Counseling and Consultation Service staff; participate in professional development, continuing education activities and follow all departmental policies and procedures. Consultative service and activities including promoting, describing, and educating in regard to utilization of mental health and wellness services and resources; addressing stigma related to mental health; conducting needs assessments and facilitating program evaluation; collaborating with Buckeye Commons staff and student organizations associated with Buckeye Commons focusing on clinical and programmatic needs;
consulting with faculty, staff, parents, and families; conducting psycho educational workshops. This position will require regular evenings during the week, in-person service provision with Tele Health options when clinically appropriate and will have flexible work hours approved by direct supervisor.
Required Qualifications
Doctoral Degree in Clinical or Counseling Psychology or related field. Licensed as a Psychologist in the State of Ohio within 18 months of hire. 0 years of relevant experience required. 0-2 years of relevant experience preferred.
Desired QualificationsDOCTORAL DEGREE IN CLINICAL OR COUNSELING PSYCHOLOGY. LICENSED AS A PSYCHOLOGIST in the State of Ohio within 4 months of hire.
Additional InformationThe offer range for this position is $79,100.00 - $86,000.00, and will be based on internal equity, unit's available budget, and the candidate's qualification.
