Angiography Technologist assists senior staff in performing procedures related to cardiac and non-cardiac invasive procedures and is responsible for ensuring that all procedures are performed in a safe and timely manner in accordance with current clinical guidelines.

• Completion of all assigned tasks in an efficient and effective manner
• Participation in technical trainings and competency assessments.
• Attendance and punctuality
• Checks all documentation and pre-procedure preparations for angiography patients
• Ensures all procedures are scheduled with consensus of angiography team
• Liases with pharmacy team to monitor the quality and timely delivery of consumables / supplies and medicines
• Follows all principles of radiation protection to minimize radiation exposure to patients, visitors and staff
• Provides quality service for patients by ensuring that every patient is treated as an individual in terms of courtesy, efficiency, efficacy and confidentiality
• Ensure availability on the on-call duties (as per the roster)
• Inspects and approves all safety regulations on a daily basis for own safety and safety of others.
• Participates in teaching of trainees as per departmental protocol as and when required
• Troubleshoots any problem with equipment and forwards concerns to biomedical department for efficient resolution of issues
• Ensures all documentation is retained in an organized manner as per retention policy of Angiography Department
• Keeps up-to-date with current techniques and developments in cardiotechnology
• Provides recommendations to management related to process improvement activities
