Position Summary InformationJob Description Summary ADJUNCT – ECHOCARDIOGRAPHY :
The purpose of this position is to teach assigned courses in a variety of times and locations in response to institutional need, and maintain appropriate professional relationships with students, colleagues and the community. Courses may include online courses and/or dual-credit/early college classes.
Associate of Applied Science ( AAS ) in Echocardiography or Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
Three (3) years of recent clinical experience.
Current credential/registration in Adult Echocardiography through the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography ( ARDMS )
* AND/OR* Registered Cardiac Sonographer through Cardiovascular Credentialing International ( CCI ).
Ability to teach and communicate with students of varied multicultural backgrounds.
Knowledge of and commitment to teaching strategies and methods which enhance student success. Knowledge of a learning college and/or knowledge of learning communities.
Preferred QualificationsExperience teaching at the secondary or college level.
Experience teaching college level online courses and/or documented successful training in a college online learning management system (e.g. Blackboard, Canvas).

Provides appropriate clinical or laboratory supervision.

Grade student weekly papers and evaluate students as needed in each class.

Develop and use a variety of teaching methods and materials to assist students who have differing educational and experiential backgrounds in meeting the course outcomes.
