Laboratory Manager (Full-Time) - Critical Access Hospital
Pay:$70,000.00 - $ per year
We're hiring a Laboratory Manager to lead and oversee 24/7 operations in a well-supported rural hospital laboratory. This position ensures quality, compliance, and team leadership across all lab services including specimen collection, point-of-care testing, and send-out testing.
Key Responsibilities:- Direct day-to-day lab operations and workflow
- Ensure compliance with CLIA and state/federal regulations
- Manage and support lab staff (hiring, scheduling, training, performance)
- Partner with leadership to align lab services with hospital goals
- Monitor quality, safety, patient satisfaction, and cost-effectiveness
- Oversee documentation, inspection readiness, and lab accreditation
- MT or MLS degree and certification (CLIA-compliant)
- 3+ years of lab supervisory or management experience
- Strong leadership, communication, and computer skills
- Experience in rural or critical access settings a plus

Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and experienced Laboratory Manager to oversee the daily operations of our laboratory. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with laboratory procedures, maintain quality assurance standards, and manage schedules effectively. This role is crucial in maintaining the integrity of laboratory processes and ensuring accurate data collection.
Responsibilities- Oversee and manage all laboratory operations, ensuring adherence to compliance management and safety regulations.
- Develop, implement, and monitor laboratory procedures to ensure high-quality results.
- Manage staff schedules to optimize workflow and productivity within the laboratory environment.
- Conduct quality control assessments to maintain standards in blood sampling and venipuncture procedures.
- Ensure proper documentation management for all laboratory activities, including data collection and reporting.
- Collaborate with other departments to facilitate effective communication and operational efficiency.
- Train and mentor laboratory staff on best practices in laboratory management and quality assurance.
- Proven experience in laboratory management with a strong understanding of compliance management and quality assurance protocols.
- Familiarity with laboratory procedures, including blood sampling techniques and venipuncture.
- Demonstrated ability in schedule management to ensure optimal staffing levels and workflow efficiency.
- Experience in data collection methodologies and document management systems is preferred.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members in a fast-paced environment.
