What You'll DoAs a Pharmacist with Family Health Source, you will provide safe, accurate, and patient-centered pharmacy services while supporting the overall operation of our pharmacies.
Responsibilities include:
Review, interpret, and evaluate prescriptions and medication orders for accuracy, appropriateness, interactions, contraindications, dosing concerns, and potential medication-related problems.
Accurately verify and dispense medications in accordance with Florida law, federal regulations, and organizational policies.
Review patient medication histories and profiles to promote safe and effective drug therapy.
Provide individualized medication counseling, education, and drug information to patients, providers, and other members of the healthcare team.
Identify, prevent, and resolve medication-related concerns and document pharmacist interventions as appropriate.
Support medication therapy management and other pharmacy-based clinical services within the Pharmacist's scope of practice.
Collaborate with providers and clinical staff to support continuity of care and positive patient outcomes.
Provide direct supervision, guidance, training, and development to pharmacy technicians and other assigned pharmacy staff.
Organize and support pharmacy workflow to promote accurate, timely, and efficient prescription processing.
Ensure proper and secure storage, handling, and maintenance of medications and pharmacy inventory.
Maintain required pharmacy records in accordance with federal, state, DEA, and Florida Board of Pharmacy requirements.
Process and oversee prescription insurance claims, assist with resolving third-party payer rejections, and participate in applicable audits.
Support compliance with the 340B Drug Pricing Program, including applicable policies, procedures, and program requirements.
Assist the Pharmacy Manager and/or Director of Pharmacy with inventory management, pharmacy financial performance, customer service, asset protection, and operational improvements.
Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and organizational requirements.
Follow OSHA, infection-control, safety, and universal precaution requirements.
Participate in required meetings, trainings, committees, and organizational initiatives.
Maintain professional and clinical competencies necessary to provide high-quality pharmacy services.
Perform other duties as assigned based on patient-care and organizational needs.
What We're Looking ForBachelor of Science in Pharmacy (BSPharm) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an accredited pharmacy program.
Current, clear, and active Florida Pharmacist license in good standing.
