This position is responsible for directing and coordinating the statewide APAC contract program – Alabama Pre/Post Adoption Connections.
Minimum Education:Master’s Degree in Social Work or Counseling
MinimumWork Experience:
More than 5 years experience in casework and/or adoption and foster care, management experience.
RequiredLicenses/Certifications:
LMSW, LICSW (preferred), or LPC. Valid Alabama driver license and auto insurance minimum liability 100/300.
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:Good communication, problem solving skills. Computer proficiency. Ability to develop, implement, and supervise programs; teach and train; respond calmly and non-judgmentally to others, including persons in crisis, and provide a team approach to service delivery. Ability to demonstrate cultural and socioeconomic proficiency. Understanding of trauma informed care.
Required Internal Certification/Trainings:Bi-annual TB skin test/medical report
List any physical requirements:Travel, some overnight. Ability to lift 20 lbs.
