Madrid Home is seeking a caring candidate with a positive attitude to join our team as a Dietary Aide. In this position, you will be responsible for assisting in the preparation, serving and cleanup of meals under the direction of the Cook or Dietary Manager. This is a great opportunity for someone in school! As a non-profit organization, we are committed to providing services and support to provide dignified and compassionate care to our residents.
Whatyou'll do as a Dietary Aide:
- Assures the dining room is prepared for the meal to be served at the specified times
- Assures food, dinnerware and kitchen equipment is either properly disposed of or clean/sanitized according to schedules and ready for the following shift
- Responds appropriately to all resident requests on an individual basis
- Interacts with residents/staff in a positive way while doing food preparation and food service
- Must be 16 years of age or older
- Strong customer service background
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
- Regular attendance and punctuality are required
- Must be able to work every other weekend and holiday
