Clinical Pharmacist
The Emergency Department clinical pharmacist role within Duke University Hospital's Clinical and Patient Care Services Division delivers clinical pharmacy services, including order verification, clinical monitoring, and support of clinical pharmacy and departmental programs.
Schedule:
Rotating shifts, weekends, night shift. Full-time, regular. Requisition 267818.
Maintains outstanding clinical pharmacist skills and demonstrates pharmacy services value
Provides clinical pharmacy services to the Emergency Department and associated patient populations
Educates medical, nursing, and pharmacy staff about therapy management, prescribing and monitoring
Serves as a resource to the Department of Pharmacy for area expertise
Participates in departmental and hospital committees and initiatives
Contributes to student and resident education; provides educational lectures and participates in research activities
Works with peers to achieve division and departmental goals
Maintains familiarity with departmental programs as an integral pharmacy team member
Required or Preferred CredentialsPharm.
D. required
2+ years of practice experience desired
PGY1 pharmacy practice residency preferred
PGY2 Emergency Medicine Specialty Residency or equivalent experience preferred
Licensed or eligible to practice pharmacy in North Carolina
