Healthconnect Texas is actively seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to support the continued growth of one of the nation’s largest and fastest-growing Health Information Exchanges (HIEs) and Community Information Exchanges (CIEs). This role is responsible for developing strategic relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and helping healthcare organizations leverage health information exchange, care coordination, social care integration, analytics, and population health services to improve outcomes across Texas.

The Business Development Manager serves as a trusted advisor to healthcare providers, hospitals, health systems, health plans, public health agencies, government organizations, and community-based organizations. This position requires strong communication skills, relationship-building expertise, and the ability to clearly articulate the value of interoperability, care coordination, social determinants of health initiatives, community resource connectivity, and data-driven healthcare solutions.

Responsibilities and Technical Requirements Business Development & Strategic Partnerships
  • Identify and cultivate new business opportunities throughout Texas.
  • Build relationships with healthcare executives, provider organizations, hospitals, health systems, health plans, public health agencies, and community-based organizations.
  • Develop relationships with social service organizations, local government agencies, and community partners participating in CIE initiatives.
  • Represent Healthconnect Texas at conferences, industry events, stakeholder meetings, and networking opportunities.
  • Develop and execute outreach strategies that support organizational growth objectives.
  • Maintain an active pipeline of prospective participants and strategic partnerships.
  • Support the expansion of Healthconnect Texas HIE and CIE networks across the state.
Participant Engagement & Solution Development
  • Conduct consultative discussions to understand organizational goals, operational challenges, and data-sharing needs.
  • Educate prospective participants on Healthconnect Texas HIE, CIE, analytics, care coordination, quality improvement, risk adjustment, and population health solutions.
  • Consult with organizations seeking to improve coordination between healthcare and community-based services.
  • Help organizations identify opportunities to address health-related social needs through community resource connectivity and referral networks.
  • Develop proposals, presentations, and business cases tailored to participant needs.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align solutions with organizational objectives.
  • Guide organizations through the evaluation, contracting, onboarding, and implementation process.
Relationship Management
  • Maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing participants.
  • Serve as a trusted point of contact for strategic growth opportunities.
  • Collaborate with operational, technical, analytics, and leadership teams to support participant success.
  • Identify opportunities to expand utilization of Healthconnect Texas services and programs.
  • Support participant retention and long-term engagement efforts.
  • Address participant concerns and coordinate internal resources to facilitate successful outcomes.
Strategic Initiatives
  • Promote solutions that improve interoperability, care coordination, quality performance, risk adjustment, public health reporting, and community resource connectivity.
  • Support initiatives that strengthen collaboration between healthcare providers, health plans, public health entities, and community organizations.
