Main Purpose of Job

The main purpose of this full-time position will be to provide direction and administration for the St. Mary's Rural Health Transformation Program (RHTP). This position will oversee and manage all operations related to RHTP-funded work, including regional and local health care transformation (St. Mary's 360), community-integrated care coordination, technology-enabled care strategies, digital health literacy, mobile health expansion, and several other programs/units.

This position will also provide general direction to staff working with the RHTP-funded programs, ensure the implementation of deliverables, manage partner workflows, and monitor performance, evaluation, and sustainability. Additionally, the manager will serve as the primary liaison with grant subrecipients/collaborative partners, community stakeholders, and MDH/funding agencies.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Education:

    A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in nursing, social work, psychology, education, counseling, or a related field.
  • Experience:

    Six years professional experience in health services, three years must have been in Health Services professional clinical or administrative services in areas other than Mental Health, Developmental Disabilities or Addictions and three years must have been at the managerial or supervisory level.
  • Notes:
    Candidates may substitute the possession of a Master's degree or a Doctorate degree in a health or human services field from an accredited college or university for up to two years of the required general experience.
  • Candidates may substitute the possession of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in another field plus an additional year of professional experience in health services for the required education.
  • Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer in Health Care Administration classifications or Health Services Administration specialty codes in the health related field of work on a year-for-year basis for the required experience and education.
DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • A Master's Degree in Public Health; preferred but not required
  • Extensive experience directing complex public health initiatives, healthcare access strategies, and cross-sector partnerships
