Under the direct supervision of the Fr. Alfred Center Program Director, the Program and Recovery Support Coordinator plays a key role in fostering a positive recovery community by supporting resident engagement, coordinating activities and events, assisting with program operations, and providing peer-informed support to individuals in recovery. The Program and Recovery Support Coordinator serves as a resource for residents, promotes participation in recovery-oriented programming, and helps maintain a safe, welcoming, and organized environment.
The Program and Recovery Support Coordinator must adhere to established policies and procedures while demonstrating reliability, professionalism, and punctuality, and maintaining regular attendance. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Resident Engagement- Provide peer-informed support and encouragement to residents participating in substance use recovery services.
- Assist residents with accessing program resources, appointments, community services, and recovery support systems.
- Support resident engagement and participation in recovery-focused activities, groups, and community events, including helping with transportation.
- Demonstrate the ability to work effectively across cultures and remain open to learning from diverse experiences and perspectives.
- Foster a welcoming, inclusive, and supportive community environment that encourages personal growth and recovery.
- Coordinate and facilitate recreational, educational, wellness, and recovery-supportive activities for program participants, both in-house and in the community.
- Develop monthly activity calendars that promote recovery, community engagement, life skills development, and overall wellness.
- Assist with planning special events, resident celebrations, workshops, and volunteer opportunities.
- Coordinate transportation and logistics for resident outings, appointments, and program activities as assigned.
- Encourage resident participation and gather feedback to improve programming and engagement opportunities.
- Treat all guests and residents with empathy, dignity, and respect while promoting a recovery-oriented environment.
- Serve as a positive role model for residents by demonstrating healthy communication, accountability, and respect for community living standards.
- Complete reports and all other paperwork neatly, legibly, and thoroughly.
- Enter data and information electronically as required and retrieve reports through agency databases as requested.
- Understand and follow organizational programs, policies, procedures, and confidentiality requirements.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
- Provide administrative support to the Fr. Alfred Center Director, including typing, correspondence, scheduling, phone communications, and record keeping.
- In the absence of the Director and Operations Supervisor, assist with the daily administrative operations of the Fr. Alfred Center.
- Collaborate with St. Anthony Foundation administrative departments to ensure efficient program operations.
- Support program evaluation efforts by assisting with data collection, reporting, and documentation requirements.
- Transport residents to appointments, court dates, recovery-related activities, program events, and community resources as assigned.
- Maintain a valid California driver's license and an acceptable driving record meeting St. Anthony Foundation insurance requirements.
