Optum is seeking Medicaid Specialist to join our growing team. At Optum, we are transforming healthcare nationally while providing physician-led care locally. Work with the largest care delivery organization in the world and start doing your life's best work.
ScheduleMonday through Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 PM PST
LocationMust reside in the time zone of Pacific Standard Time. (PST)

- Engagement and relationship experience with members, providers, networks, internal and external functional partners
- Written oral and written communication skills: facilitating internal, cross-functional and external relationships
- Deep understanding of Medicaid and LTSS principles
- Data entry background
- Excel/Word knowledge
- computer comfort
- Analysis of data and reports/Reporting ability
- Basic understanding of reporting, program metrics, data analysis
- Workflow development, gap analysis, and continuous process improvement
- Proactive problem solving
- Organizational Skills
- Performs other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications- High School Diploma/GED
- 2+ years of Medicaid experience
- 2+ years of experience with LTSS (Long Term Services and Supports)
- 1+ years of data entry experience
- Intermediate computer proficiency experience
- Knowledge of data analysis and reporting
- Must reside in the time zone of Pacific Standard Time. (PST)
- Experience with electronic medical records (ECW)
- 1+ year customer service experience
- Knowledge of insurance carriers and managed care plans
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Ability to work independently and as a team, and maintain good judgment and accountability
- Demonstrated ability to work well with health care providers
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks to meet all deadlines
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
