This is a professional support position providing client access and engagement functions in a multifaceted office environment. The Client Access & Engagement Representative serves as an initial point of entry for agency programs and provides reception, telephone support, service navigation, appointment scheduling, coordination of multiple client services, collection and routing of initial assessment paperwork, insurance verification, copayment and coinsurance collection, and data entry.

The Client Access & Engagement Representative provides timely, equitable, person-centered, family-centered, recovery-oriented, trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and confidential assistance to clients and other providers by telephone and in person. The position helps clients understand and navigate available behavioral health, substance use, psychiatric, medical, peer-support, and community-based services; identifies and communicates barriers to access; supports coordinated referrals and service transitions; recognizes potential crisis or emergency situations and promptly routes them to appropriate personnel;

and maintains accurate and needed for operations, quality measurement, and CCBHC certification readiness.

Education Experience/Requirements:

• 1. HS Diploma or equivalent, is required.
• 2. Minimum of 0-1 year’s relevant and comparable experience in a health care Admissions/Scheduling/Access environment preferred.
• 3. Experience with EHR and/or practice management software environment preferred.
