On-Call Direct Support Professional - Catskill Day Habilitation
T he Direct Support Professional (DSP) provides support and skills training to people with developmental and intellectual disabilities in a day habilitation setting and within the community.
Catskill Day Habilitation is located in the village of Catskill,close tomany shopping centers where individuals at the Day Habtake partin a variety of volunteer opportunities, allowing them to build relationships in the community. These opportunities include Meals on Wheels, volunteering at Goodwill, and the local food pantry. Twenty-five adults are supported at this Day Hab. DSP's whoare compassionate, patient and creative will enjoy working at Catskill Day Hab.
A high school diploma or GED is desired. Post-high-school education in Human Services is a definite plus. An acceptable NYS driver's license and basic computer knowledge are a must. An informative, paid new hire orientation is provided in a comfortable learning environment. Training will also include Van Certification, SCIP, First Aid/CPR, and Medication Administration certification.
HOURS:
As needed/Monday through Friday/8:00 am to 4:00 pm
STARTING SALARY: $ 18.06to $ 19.87per hour
