Position: Radiology Student Tech Coordinator | Full Time | Days
Location: Northern

Summary

Under the supervision of the Director of Radiology, Chairman, Manager or Chief Diagnostic Technologist, serves as the primary interface with the New Hampshire Technical Institute Radiography Program. With the assistance of NHTI personnel, coordinates clinical activities through supervision and instruction in conjunction with NHTI's didactic learning and ARRT competency requirements. Complies with guidelines established in the NHTI Clinical Supervisor Handbook. Educates radiology technical staff through continuing education and activities pertinent to student learning and clinical objectives.

Performs diagnostic imaging procedures and related techniques resulting in the interpretation by, or at the request of, a licensed independent practitioner. Assures service is in compliance with professional standards, as well as state and federal regulatory requirements. Education Graduate of an education program accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT). Certification, Registration, and Licensure Registration required:
American Registry of Radiologic Technologist. Certification

Required:

Must satisfy the criteria for a Certified Clinical Supervisor as outlined in the NHTI Radiology Program - Role of the Clinical Supervisor. Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification, or equivalent course credentialed by American Heart Association Licensure required:
Licensed and Certified by the NH Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Experience 2 years experience as a Radiologic Technologist required.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinates all aspects of the NHTI Radiographic Program for students assigned to Concord Hospital.
  • Performs Radiological diagnostic or therapeutic procedures in accordance and within the scope of practice and departmental standards.
  • Assesses pertinent information, prepares and educates patient for procedures and expectations.
  • Completes documentation of patient care and procedure.
  • Utilizes the hospital and departmental information, technology systems, and equipment operations.
  • Communicates with the health care team to provide quality patient care.
  • Maintains a level of productivity, adaptability, flexibility, and timeliness in managing workload and processes.
  • Adheres to department policy and procedures, and practices modality specific safety protocols.
  • Actively engages in departmental, team, and committee initiatives.
  • Completes hospital, departmental, and professional requirements.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
