Job Details Are you a compassionate individual looking for a rewarding career where you can make a difference in the lives of others? The Arc of Cape May County, a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, is seeking full-time Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to join our team at our beautiful and fully equipped Day Program in South Dennis.
As a DSP, you will play a crucial role in assisting individuals with daily activities, providing emotional support, and helping them achieve their goals for independence and quality of life.
- Provide person-centered supports that respect the rights and choices of each individual
- Assist with activities and community outings
- Assist with daily personal care and hygiene needs
- Support individuals with day program activities
- Administer medications as per physician's orders
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality
- Assist with mobility and lifting when necessary
- Experience in medication administration
- Ability to work with people with autism and developmental disabilities
- Knowledge of home and community care practices
- Background in social work or related fields
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lift and drive as needed
- Proficiency in meal preparation
- Competitive pay starting at $21.00 per hour after completion of orientation and training at $16.07 per hour
- Monday through Friday schedule, 8am to 4pm each day

At least 18 years of age, valid driver's license and a good driving record, High School Diploma or GED. Prior experience assisting individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred.
