Summary

The Senior New Patient Service Navigator (Sr. NPSN) is an advanced-level role responsible for handling complex registration and scheduling scenarios, supporting financial clearance processes, and serving as a resource for frontline staff. This role ensures high-quality patient access while driving efficiency and accuracy.

Minimum Education

High School Diploma/GED

3+ years patient access, scheduling, or call center experience

Experience in insurance verification and/or financial processes

May require evening/weekend coverage

Minimum Skills/Specialized Training Required

Advanced knowledge of registration and scheduling workflows, insurance verification, and financial clearance processes.

Strong knowledge of insurance verification and financial processes Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to resolve complex cases efficiently. Proven ability to manage complex workflows Patient-Centered Focus Ability to manage multiple priorities Ability to balance productivity with quality while supporting continuous process improvement Ability to manage complex scheduling and intake scenarios Skilled at interpreting insurance benefits and communicating financial responsibility Supporting staff through guidance, coaching, and knowledge sharing

Identifying and resolving workflow barriers Maintaining accuracy and urgency in high-priority cases

Preferred Experience
  • Healthcare or oncology experience

  • Revenue cycle workflows
  • High volume scheduling environments
Salary Range

$18.64 - $28.53 Salary ranges posted for this position represent the expected base pay range for the role. Actual compensation may vary based on location and a variety of job-related factors, including experience, skills, education, and internal equity among Team Members in similar positions.
