The field-based Medical Science Liaison (MSL) is responsible for supporting the safe and effective use of Boston Scientific Interventional Oncology and Embolization (IO&E) therapies. This role communicates complex medical and scientific information to health care professionals and provides field medical intelligence and insights to internal stakeholders.
The MSL is responsible for internal and external training across Boston Scientific IO&E therapies and autonomously manages an assigned territory, developing and growing medical activities and initiatives to achieve key medical objectives.
Territory:Northeastern U.S.
This is a remote, field-based role supporting the Northeastern U.S. territory. The position requires extensive travel throughout the assigned territory and additional travel as business needs require.

Your responsibilities will include:- Build, maintain and manage effective professional peer-to-peer relationships with contracted external experts (EEs) and key opinion leaders (KOLs), engaging in bidirectional scientific and educational exchange.
- Identify and understand medical and scientific barriers that may influence patient outcomes, with a focus on ongoing research, newly published evidence, changes in practice patterns and alternative therapies.
- Communicate the clinical evidence story by presenting the totality of evidence in a balanced, nonbiased manner. Inform health care professionals (HCPs) about clinical evidence and accurately communicate key evidence gaps.
- Execute medical plans by communicating technical and clinical data supporting new products and/or new indications.
- Create territory plans to identify early users who can provide meaningful clinical insights.
- Provide medical and scientific support for EEs speaking about Boston Scientific products at medical meetings and congresses.
- Support peer-to-peer education programs through speaker identification and ongoing support.
- Investigate and gather field medical intelligence and insights that may affect therapy safety and efficacy, clinical and R&D strategies, and competitive activities.
- Develop strategies to gain insights from a diverse set of stakeholders and communicate those insights to internal stakeholders in a clear, coherent and informative manner.
- Identify clinical insights and knowledge gaps and articulate the potential impact and magnitude of findings.
- Provide medical and scientific congress support by communicating accurate information and ensuring timely follow-up.
- Attend key congress sessions and communicate relevant medical and scientific knowledge to internal stakeholders in a clear and informative manner.
