Position Summary/Responsibilities

The Recovery Court Coordinator is the main point of contact for planning, organizing, developing, directing, and monitoring services for participants of the Botetourt/Craig County Recovery Court docket.

Duties include:

  • Oversees and generates referrals to the Recovery Court docket, tracks and reports program data and outcomes, prepares and presents reports to stakeholders, oversees treatment planning, and provides direct client care in line with evidenced based practices including risks/need/response model.
  • Works closely to coordinate services with recovery court judge, attorneys, jail staff, internal and external community service providers and District 40 probation and parole.
  • Responsible for the operations, program development, program content, and oversight and coordination program services.
  • Responsible for public relations and keeping current with developments in the criminogenic mental health field and participates in regional meetings related to Recovery Court such as treatment team staffing.
  • This position requires a high degree of professional interaction with multiple agencies and collaboration across departmental boundaries.
Hiring Range:

The anticipated base salary for this position is $50,783 to $59,291. Actual compensation offered within this range will be determined based on the candidate's experience, education, qualifications (knowledge, skills, and abilities), geographic location, complexity of role, and other relevant business considerations. We kindly ask that candidates do not discuss compensation until after an offer of employment is extended.

Requirements
  • Education: This position requires a Master's degree in a human services field that fulfills the criteria for eligibility for professional licensure as a professional counseling of clinical social worker in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
  • Experience: A minimum of one (1) year experience working with population served. Experience with data collection and program coordination, development or management preferred.
  • Certifications/Licenses:Required to obtain professional licensure as a professional counselor (LPC) or clinical social worker (LCSW) in the Commonwealth of Virginia within 24 months of hire date.
  • Background Check: Fingerprints, State and FBI criminal record reports, drug test, and central registry report will be required upon selection.
  • Safe Driving Record: This position requires transporting clients or driving agency vehicles. Candidates must have a good driving record, which is defined as no more than two moving violations in the last three years and no criminal moving violations in the last five years.
Special Work Conditions

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate verbally in one-on-one situations and in group settings. Must also be able to communicate effectively in writing. While performing the duties of this job, the employee will often sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop, and reach above their head. Use of hands for placing and pulling materials. The employee frequently lifts and or carries up to 25 pounds and pushes or pulls up to 100 pounds.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision (computer and research). Specific hearing required by this job includes normal tones. Travel of up to 25% required. Almost all travel is local. Occasional travel outside of local area may be required. These functions may be performed with or without reasonable accommodations.
