UF Health Proton Therapy Institute (UFHPTI), located in Jacksonville, Florida, has an
immediate opening for an Certified Medical Dosimetrist to perform clinical complex radiation therapy
treatment planning across all modalities. UFHPTI utilizes Mosaiq for record and verify, patient scheduling and billing and Ray Station TPS is used for proton Pencil Beam Scanning (PBS), photon, and electron planning.
UFHPTI delivers image-guided proton therapy using 2 IBA Proton Therapy Systems to deliver pencil beam scanning (PBS) proton treatment plans. Conventional radiotherapy treatments are delivered using a Varian True Beam and Elekta Synergy linear accelerators
Responsibilities include:
- Contouring & image fusion preparation
- Assist in educational aspects in training, mentorship, and development of students and residents
- Research & Medical Record Related Dosimetry support
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as directed by supervising medical dosimetrists.
Requirements:
- Background in IMRT/VMAT Photon treatment planning.
- 5+ years of prior clinical experience as a Medical Dosimetrist.
- Excellent communication and team partnership across all clinic departments.
- Graduate of a formal training program in medical dosimetry or graduate of a program approved by the Council on Allied Health Education and Accrediation for Radiation Therapy Technology, or B.S. degree in Physics.
- Must be certified by the Medical Dosimetry Certification Board.
- Proficiency and experience in using Ray Station TPS for Proton PBS planning highly preferred.
