** Job Description Summary
** The clinical molecular technologist will serve as a clinical technician in the laboratory of Dr. Arupa Ganguly. The employee will perform all aspects of DNA isolation, mutation detection in human disease associated genes, real-time Q-PCR analysis for gene dosage and mosaicism analysis, NGS library preparation, sequence analysis, and other relevant functions of the laboratory.

Experience with performing or analyzing bioinformatics of next generation sequencing techniques on DNA or RNA preferred.

**** Job Responsibilities
*** Carry out clinical procedures associated with genetic diagnosis of human diseases, including Sanger and Next Gen sequencing, copy number determination, Methylation analysis by RT-PCR
* Perform analysis of results of diagnostic analyses including variant annotation, RT-PCR and Illumina iSCAN data analysis
* Bioinformatic analysis skills desirable
* Routine DNA isolation, quantitation and Quality Control assays
* Maintain equipment, arrange service calls and monitor service contacts. Monitor supplies and order as necessary; monitor expenses.
* Assist in experimental design & project development
* Participate in lab meetings, journal club; attend relevant seminars and conferences
* Other duties as assigned

* ** Bachelor of Science and 1 to 3 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
