Master’s Level – Outpatient Substance Use Disorder; SUD) Alternative Inc

Provide client-centered, gender-specific therapy for individuals recovering from substance use disorders within a supportive, collaborative outpatient setting. Moving beyond traditional 12-Step frameworks, this role utilizes evidence-based approaches—including Motivational Enhancement, Mindfulness-Based Relapse Prevention, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and emotion regulation strategies to help clients cultivate self-respect and build a strong foundation for long-term recovery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Group & Individual Therapy: Facilitate gender-specific recovery groups (6–8 participants) in early recovery; conduct individual therapy sessions to address personalized clinical goals.
• Clinical Assessments & Treatment Planning: Perform SUD intake assessments; develop individualized, client-centered treatment plans.

  Work closely with a small, close-knit team of clinicians to deliver integrated, holistic care while maintaining independent clinical management of assigned cases.

Requirements:

• Education: Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related human health/science field (or anticipated degree within 3 months of hire).
• Credentials: Licensed or eligible for licensure as a Substance Use Disorder Professional / Trainee (SUDP/SUDPT preferred) and willing to complete required SUD training.

  Hands-on experience facilitating adult therapy groups and conducting individual psychotherapy; familiarity or background in substance use disorder treatment.
• Core Competencies: Practical knowledge of mindfulness practices and their application in clinical settings; alignment with a client-centered, non-12-step recovery philosophy; strong collaborative and independent work ethics.
