Description:

** The Certified Recovery Mentor (CRM) will work as a member of an interdisciplinary team to provide peer recovery support to individuals with substance abuse and mental health disorders. This position will advocate for the Individuals We Serve (IWS) and support them to pursue their personal goals and individual wellness journey.

The job incumbent must understand, appreciate, and respect the differences within our Cascadia community. As such, it is expected that this position promotes integrated care, our vision of trauma-informed and person-first approaches and helps create a work environment of acceptance.
** Essential Responsibilities

* ** Participate in clinical case conferences and staff meetings to enhance knowledge, align with program goals, and advocate for individual needs.
* Serve as an advocate within the organization and with external partners or service providers.
* Demonstrate a recovery-focused and healthy lifestyle.
* Share personal recovery experiences with IWS when appropriate and supportive.
* Ensure that the needs and voices of IWS being served are represented.
* Link IWS to various recovery support models and community resources.
* Assist IWS in developing a strong, sustainable support network.
* Provide guidance on accessing and navigating community systems such as recovery communities, housing resources, and public transportation.
* Apply Feedback Informed Treatment (FIT) practices as part of service delivery team and in alignment with Cascadia and program's current level of FIT implementation.
* Perform other duties as assigned.
** Regulatory & Compliance
*** Comply with and implement regulations, policies, and procedures under which the department and program operate.
* Assist in crisis situations as appropriate, following emergency protocols and procedures.
* Understand fire regulations and evacuation procedures; participate in regular safety drills in compliance with department policies and procedures.
* Document and maintain records in a manner that ensures compliance with all agency policies and procedures and local, state, and federal regulations.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation as required and complete electronic medical records (EMR) as required using Cascadia software.
* Adhere to mandatory abuse reporting laws, HIPAA and 42

CFR regulations requirements.
* Complete annual employee training requirements on a timely basis.
* Participate in all scheduled staff meetings, supervision sessions, and other departmental and agency meetings.

* Required:

* A completed Recovery Mentor training approved by the Oregon Health Authority (OHA).
* A Traditional Healthcare Worker (THW) certification which must be kept current and in compliance with the OAR's.

* Position requires experience as a former or current user of behavioral health services.
* Must self-disclose as being in active recovery from substance addiction and must have personal experience with recovery services.

Preferred:
* Some work experience working with adults with substance abuse challenges.
