Position SummaryAs a Direct Support Professional (DSP), you get to enhance quality of life for people with developmental disabilities by assisting, instructing, and supporting individuals living in our residences to be as independent as possible. Promote the health, safety and well-being of the individuals while building positive, meaningful relationships. Advocate for individuals in our residences to communicate their wants/needs, and integrate them into the community for recreation.
Perform various tasks to promote a well-rounded environment by doing light housekeeping, helping individuals plan nutritious meals, and administering medications as needed. Participate in regularly scheduled trainings to enhance skills and knowledge to continue to support the individuals in the best way possible.

Ability to perform all job functions

Skills and Abilities
- Valid New York State driver’s license that meets the Agency’s driving policy
- Work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays

Starting rate of 17.50 with potential to earn up to 20.00 with successful completion of training and/or applicable shift differentials.
