Description

Pennsylvania Counseling Services (PCS) is seeking an independently licensed Outpatient Mental Health Therapist to join our Chambersburg office, with a primary focus on providing evening outpatient therapy services to children and adolescents.

This is an excellent opportunity for a clinician who enjoys working with younger clients and families and is interested in building an evening caseload when demand for child and adolescent services is especially high.

With this opportunity, we offer a “private practice in a box”—providing the autonomy of independent practice while maintaining many of the benefits of being connected to a larger behavioral health system, including a healthy stream of referrals.

We provide competitive compensation and a strong referral base without competitive restrictions or minimum billable expectations.
This is an independent contractor position; providers are 1099 contractors rather than W-2 employees.

Each Live Up Counseling location maintains a culture of inclusion and belonging, welcoming providers from diverse backgrounds and areas of clinical expertise. Providers may participate in optional case consultation and continuing education trainings and have access to internal psychiatric providers to support continuity of care across therapy and medication management services.

For this particular opportunity, we are especially interested in clinicians who enjoy working with children, adolescents, and their families and who are available to provide services during after‑school and evening hours

Providers who are the best fit for this program should have approximately two years of outpatient therapy experience, be comfortable practicing independently, maintain a valid Pennsylvania LMFT, LPC, LCSW, LSW, or Psychologist license, and provide required clearances and independent professional liability insurance.

PCS Provides the Following Support to Live Up Counseling Contracted Providers:

• Insurance credentialing
• Provision and scheduling of new clients
• A strong referral stream, including children and adolescents seeking evening appointments
• Billing and insurance verification for the clinician’s services
• Access to medical staff for referrals and continuity of care
• Shared EMR system for documentation and coordination with medical staff
• Continuing education opportunities
• Furnished office space
• Optional participation in collaborative meetings and case consultation with colleagues

Contractor Duties:

• Provide outpatient therapeutic services, with a primary caseload of children and adolescents
• Maintain availability for after‑school and evening appointments
• Complete practice management responsibilities, including scheduling ongoing sessions, returning client communications, and completing clinical documentation necessary for billable services
• Ensure clients complete prompt payment of copays and deductible amounts through the patient portal
• Coordinate with caregivers and other treatment providers as clinically appropriate

Pay $70,000-$90,000/year
