Regional Surgery Center Administrator

A leading national healthcare organization is seeking an experienced Regional Surgery Center Administrator to provide leadership and operational oversight for two established ambulatory surgery centers in Modesto, California.

This is an excellent opportunity for a healthcare executive with Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) leadership experience or a strong background in hospital surgical services with ASC exposure to oversee multiple facilities and play a key role in operational performance, financial management, physician relationships, quality, and strategic growth.

The Regional Administrator will work closely with facility administrators, physicians, medical staff, governing boards, and senior organizational leadership to ensure efficient, high-quality, patient-centered care.

The Regional Administrator will provide oversight for two surgical centers serving the Modesto community.

The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated background in surgical facility or ambulatory healthcare leadership and the ability to oversee multiple operational areas.

Candidates should ideally have:

• 5–7+ years of relevant healthcare leadership experience
• Direct leadership experience within an Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC), or hospital surgical services experience with meaningful ASC exposure
• Experience overseeing healthcare operations and multidisciplinary teams
• Knowledge of financial management, budgeting, and operational performance
• Experience working with physicians, medical staff, and governing bodies
• Familiarity with healthcare accreditation and regulatory requirements
• Understanding of quality improvement, patient safety, and infection prevention
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and relationship-management skills
• Ability to travel occasionally between facilities and organizational meetings

• Base Salary: $140,000 – $235,000

This role provides an opportunity to take a visible leadership position overseeing multiple ambulatory surgical facilities while working alongside physicians, clinical teams, facility leaders, and senior healthcare executives.

• Provide regional operational and financial oversight for multiple ambulatory surgery facilities
• Partner with facility administrators, physicians, medical staff, and governing boards to ensure effective daily operations
• Develop, manage, and monitor operating, staffing, and capital budgets
• Monitor financial performance and identify opportunities for operational improvement
  
  Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, accreditation requirements, quality standards, and patient-safety expectations
• Support physician partnerships, credentialing, privileging, and medical staff relationships
• Lead, mentor, and develop facility leadership teams
• Support workforce planning, staffing strategies, and performance management
• Oversee quality improvement, infection prevention/control, and patient-experience initiatives
• Manage and oversee vendor, service, and physician contracts
• Partner with corporate leadership on operational reviews, reporting, strategic initiatives, and performance improvement
• Identify opportunities for service-line development, growth, and increased operational efficiency
• Promote a culture focused on patient safety, quality care, accountability, and collaboration
