** job summary:
** the paramedic responds to emergency calls to provide efficient a care to the ill and injured.
** job duties:
** 50% emergency response: perform emergency services response operations duties as a paramedic and in support of fire, hazardous material & rescue technicians; develop and maintain cognitive knowledge and psychomotor skills proficiency through application, professional development, knowledge of department standard operating guidelines & applicable regulations, training and physical fitness.
35% administrative: maintains compliance with required programs. Maintains paramedic certification and medical control sponsorship as required    15% supervisory: implements working knowledge of nims-ics as a resource leader or team member; may serve as initial incident commander until relieved as required.
