** Hiring Range**$15.00 - $19.50/Hourly Actual pay is determined based on job-related factors such as relevant experience, education, credentials, skills, internal equity, and business needs.
** Overview
* * Works under the supervision of the Supervisor/Manager/Director. Safely and efficiently transports patients, patient's belongings and charts via wheelchair, stretcher, and/or bed. Works as an integral member of the team to assist in transporting specimens, blood, and equipment. Works to ensure that all transport equipment is cleaned and in good working condition.

** What you will do*
* * Demonstrates the ability to effectively collaborate and consult with referral sources, patients, families, and team members. Provides follow up actions as needed.
* Assists patients, family members, and visitors with directions, assisting as needed.
* People/Customer Dashboard/Scorecard indicate progress toward achieving departmental goals in employee and customer satisfaction scores.
* Maintains all equipment needed for transports clean according to Infection Control policies.
* Takes ownership in new employee/student/co-worker on-boarding to enhance retention and reduced turnover of staff as evidenced by vacancy rates.
* Maintains working knowledge of National Patient Safety Goals, to include patient identifiers and HIPPA.
* Safely transports patients using knowledge of Infection Control policies, proper body mechanics, and use of patient identifiers.
* Supports personal departmental productivity through volunteering for and recommending creative changes to include flexing and shift changes to meet the needs of the department.
* Ensures proper supplies in transportation office to facilitate timely transports.
* Assists with obtaining supplies, specimens, and blood products requested and following appropriate procedure for transporting supplies.
* Demonstrates understanding of diverse patient care populations served within the community.
** Qualifications*
* ** Education
* ** High School Diploma or GED, (Preferred)
** Experience
* ** 1 year Experience working with the public in a customer service capacity or related (Preferred)
** Licenses and Certifications
