Physical Therapy Assistant

PTAs or physical therapy assistants work under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist. Similarly, the PTAs duties and responsibilities are the same as those of the PTs. The only difference is that the PTAs need to report and update the supervising PT about the patient’s current status and responds to treatment. PTAs also keeps the treatment facility clean in adherence to infection-control policies and protocols, and to the company’s rules and regulations.

For all interested applicants, you must comply with the following prerequisites:

• Must at least have an associates degree from an accredited physical therapy program
• High school diploma
• On-the-job training completion certificate
• Hands-on experience in treatment centers
• Completed CPR and BLS training and received a certificate
• Current state physical therapy assistant license
• Basic computer skills
• National Physical Therapy Examination Passer
• Licensed by the Physical Therapy Board of California
• Must be detail-oriented and compassionate
• Must have the dexterity
• Must have effective interpersonal skills
