As President of Memorial Hospital Hixson, you will implement the strategic direction outlined in the Common Spirit strategic plan.

Every day, you will connect the elements of the local health care delivery system, including Common Spirit Memorial Hixson facilities, vendors, and partners, to increase the effectiveness of care delivery and population health management. The President is the public face of Common Spirit Memorial Hospital Hixson in the community, embodying the mission of Common Spirit Memorial Hospital Hixson to its constituents.

To be successful in this role, you will provide leadership to the overall operational management for a Common Spirit Memorial Hospital Hixson facility (or multiple facilities) in a market in accordance with the mission, vision, and values of Common Spirit Memorial Hospital Hixson and the Board of Trustees. The Common Spirit Memorial Hospital Hixson President supports and advises the Market President on strategic planning, business development, implementing organizational procedures and processes, and analyzing opportunities to expand or discontinue lines of business.

Also serves as the physician liaison, patient advisory council, and provider recruitment contact.

Responsibilities:

• Optimizes Quality, Safety, and the Patient Experience in Partnership with Physicians
• Optimizes Clinical Operations and Delivers Value to the Community
• Serves as a leader in forwarding the goals of Common Spirit Memorial Hospital Hixson in the community
• Maintains open, honest, and timely communications to the facility’s (or facilities’) many and varied public stakeholders, including the community, employees, medical staff, and Board of Directors
• Communicates and collaborates with board members and organization officials to ensure efficient facility functioning
• Coordinates the development and implementation of an annual facility (facilities) budget that supports the overall strategic plans and aligns with the expectations of Common Spirit Memorial Hospital Hixson

Required:

• Master's Degree or Postgraduate Degree
• At least 7 years of progressive experience in health care administration and management in a complex organization, including experience in multiple departments within a hospital

Preferred:

• Certified Healthcare Executive (FACHE)
