Salary while on shift includes a holiday differential, FLSA differential, as well as aParamedic differential. Differentials will be applied when serving in a paramedic/shift assignment after successful completion of the recruit academy and paramedic provisional assignment.

Work Schedule:

Firefighter/Paramedics work a 48×96 schedule.

The following minimum qualifications are required:

1. Must possess a valid State of California Paramedic license with ACLS certification at time of appointment.

2. Must be at least 18 years of age.

3. Must possess a high school diploma or GED. College degree from an accredited university preferred.

4. Must possess a valid California driver’s license with a driving record acceptable to the District. Firefighter Endorsement or Commercial driver’s license with applicable endorsements will be required by end of probationary period.

5. A current Health Care Provider CPR certification.

PLEASE ATTACH REQUIRED LICENSES AND CERTIFICATES TO APPLICATION:

1. Must possess a valid Candidate Physical Ability Test (CPAT) issued within the last 24 months, by time of conditional offer.

CPATnot required for lateral appointments.

2. Current PHTLS or ITLSandPALS or PEPP certifications required by time of conditional offer of employment.

3. Must reside in California no more than 200 road miles of the Fire District Boundary by completion of the Fire/EMS Academy.

The following minimum qualifications are also required as outlined below:
